Hi,

Can anyone offer advice on getting my padron in Manilva? I’ve been given an email address which I’ve had no response to multiple messages over the last 2 months, I’ve tried calling the English speaking line but they can’t get the relevant people on the phone, and I’ve tried booking an appointment at the town hall online but again, no response to confirm. It’s the only piece of paperwork I still need for the TIE and it’s so frustrating!

Any advice would be great! Thank you

Can’t you just visit your town hall? They will give you the paperwork required to fill in at home, or they could help you complete it there and then. I think they are all different. Some will tell you to collect in 2 days, and some take 10 days. Some take a small charge, and others don’t. Good luck.

Hi,

thanks for your reply and under normal circumstances yes, but at the moment it is by appointment only which is why I was told to email them instead

My experience exactly the same, my local Town Hall doesn't reply to emails & I walked in (pre covid) for padron & also planning permission. Not accepting walk ins currently. Wish I had a better answer for you

Sorry to hear that. I’ve never had any luck with emails to Traffico etc. Hope you get it resolved soon 🤞

I am in Casares and I can communicate to Ayuntamiento through messages via their Facebook page.  I am surprised how quickly they respond in that way.  Maybe try that for Manilva.

That’s a good idea, thank you, I’ll give it a try

I do not wish to put you off but this is a difficult process.  I did achieve it but not without difficulty and I am very computer literate.  From start to finish its challenging.  It is handy if you wish to process government topics online but unless you are ready for banging your head against the wall a few times maybe try the Facebook method.

Well that is my advice anyway having gone through that electronic signature process.

Also, perhaps you could write in Spanish (using Google Translate) a letter explaining how you cannot get an answer and then go personally and find a person coming or going and give it to them.  The trouble with this of course they may not reply in English.  Alternatively find someone who speaks Spanish and have them call for you.

Good luck.
