Are open air bars and restaurants now open in Benalmádena? Particularly interested in Bonanza square and Plaza espania  I’m hoping all these places are open or soon will be. Are there rules about social distancing still in place now that the summer season is gere

I am also interested to find out what is open in the area. We are booked to arrive on 3rd July and assumed the holiday would be cancelled. However, the self catering complex we are booked into is planning on opening on 3rd July so it is unlikely our holiday will be cancelled. But it’s not going to be much of a holiday if we can’t eat out at restaurants. In addition, there are 12 of us going so not sure how that will work when trying to socially distance. Any info on what’s open or any other info would be greatly appreciated.

Are you from the uk? Just read today that Spain has not yet opened its borders to the British as our death rate has been vey high. May of course change before your trip. Certainly no fun being on holiday in a lockdown country even with the sun shining. If you get any more information I would be interested to hear it. Rhanks

I wouldn’t travel from UK at the mo’. FCO current advice is against travel outside UK, and 14 days quarantine on return. Who knows if this will change by early July?

Does anyone know if Spain is opening it’s borders to UK residents? I’m hearing in the UK papers that your minister  has said no for time being. Can anyone living on Spain’ confirm this?

Hi Sylv, most of the bars in Bonaza are now open (at 50% capacity) but flights from the uk are few and far between.

Thanks jack. Good to know things are easing back. I don’t imagine it will be a busy summer but might pick up later in the year when things are clearer. Hopefully we will visit again next year. Look forward to a beer in Johnny’s bar

Spain is open. Pools, bars, restaurants and shops. Not sure why there are so many liars on here. Costa del Sol is alive and kicking
