It's a long hard drive, you might need at least two stops, you can avoid a lot of fuel stress and tolls by getting a Ferry direct to Spain/

Well it's 1300 miles give or take, tolls about 130euros,Bordeaux for night I, Salamanca for night 2.You will need dog friendly hotels but they are out there,Jack,

Ps fuel is cheaper in Spain

Dont forget you need a pet cabin on Britaany Ferries and they are limited on every sailing.

Just done it... Santander to Toledo four hours ... Toledo to Marbella four hours ..

Parador in Toledo to die for and dog friendly.

No tolls whatsoever..

Optimistic I´d say, unless driving pretty quickly. See what Google maps says. Still is a comfortable 2 day trip

Hi Julie

I’m doing the same drive at the end of this month,  with my dog. I’m taking my time and am stopping in Rouen, Potiers, San Sebastián, Toledo and onto Nerja. There are lots of dog friendly hotels en route. I usually go by ferry, but it’s hard to get a dog cabin!

Hope your trip goes well.
