Hi, can anyone tell me how things are in the village of Casares. We have a house there and haven’t been since Xmas 2019 😭 we will have both vaccine jabs by the end of may and have booked flights for the middle of august. Keeping everything crossed we will be allowed to travel. Any info would be welcome, many thanks jenni
Hi Jenni,
I live in Vasari overlooking the Village. Everything is totally cool here. Market is back on Friday, shops are busy. My favorite restaurant closed down at the start of the pandemic but everything else seems to be open.
All good and waiting for your return. Fingers crossed this will end sooner than later.

Hi Kerri and Jenni
That’s good to hear. We also have a house in Casares and had booked flights as early as May 18th- both of us will be double vaccinated. If flights are permitted from UK under the new red /amber/green protocol - is there any sense of whether this is too early for us to visit? Roslyn

Well now I do not recall the name but in the Village center with the water fountain there are two restaurants side by side and my favorite one was above it. They had an indoor part and outdoor part where you could look up to the Castle from the terrace. You entered from the side street. Hope you know where I mean! :) I do not know if it will open again but I hope so.

Assuming you have your TIE or Green Residency card ? If you do then probably will be fine. Things seem pretty "normalish" here if one can say that.
But things change it seems week by week. Fingers crossed that you can make it back as you planned.

Hi Roslyn, hopefully the travel ban will be lifted soon. We live in Northern Ireland and are still in full lockdown. Hairdressers are opening on fri 🥳🥳 is your house in the village? Ours is opposite the townhall, can’t wait to get back. Just hoping our house is ok 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Regards jenni

Yes hoping so too. Yes house is in the village (close to swimming pool). Like you longing to spend time there- we have plan A, B, C and D so hopefully one of them works- plan D is staycation! 😊
