Buying a property in Casares
Hi there
My husband and I are considering buying a holiday home in Casares Pueblo and I was hoping that someone might be able to help us with a couple of practical considerations.
Firstly, since I don't drive, if I ever came on my own I would be reliant on public transport. Am I right to believe that a bus runs to Estepona twice a day(and back I presume?) and if so is the service reliable or ever full?
Secondly, given the charming but hilly and sometimes narrow nature of the streets are deliveries ever a problem? I'm thinking in terms of large items that we would need to install. On that note it would also be good to know of any local suppliers of traditional furniture, or skilled (but not expensive) cabinet makers/joiners.
And finally, any general joys/tribulations associated with living in the village do let us know. We need to go in with our eyes open!
