Hi

We have just purchased a property in Calahonda and keen to understand what are the best options for Internet.

My wife and I work remotely and we would like to understand what our the best options.

Speed and availability will be important to us.

Can anyone provide me a recommendation?

We were thing of a combined of a TV & Broadband package?

You can connect in three different ways

1. Telephone line

My first base would be to check your location’s telephone line status at movistar.es

It will be either ADSL only (6 Mbps) or ADSL or Fibre (100+ Mbps). Then check out the available plans. If you don’t need it fast, a Smart TV connected to ADSL via Ethernet cable will work OK

If you use an Amazon Firestick for TV this is wi-fi only and ADSL can become stretched without a signal booster

2. 4G (Radio mast signals). Local and international service providers are populating this space. Google your location for 4G internet

3 Satellite. Can be expensive but worth considering if your Radio mast signals aren’t great and you can only have ADSL. Take a look at eurona.com. One benefit is that you will have an English speaking service operative

Hi, we are at the top of calahonda and can recommend AVATEL and Wikiker, they have an office at los olivos complex near el zoco. It’s fibre optic and you can have 1 month at a time with no penalty about 30 euros a month which is great if only visiting occasionally,but I’m sure they have other deals available.
