Diabetic

Hi.

Are you type one or type two diabetic?

If type one....on insulin?

If type two on tablets or diet control?

I am a Practice nurse here on holiday for few weeks. 

If your sugars have become raised then it could be to do with the possibility that your diet/intake has changed or increased. Are you Well? Sugars can become raised if you have a infection in the system somewhere. Diarrhoea doesn't help either.

There are a lot of probabilities so would need to know more.

I know as a Practice nurse that the GP  may pass patient's such as yourself to a Practice nurse at the surgery as they are the ones dealing with diabetics in their clinics.

You could try ringing your surgery again and ask to speak to the nurse who deals with diabetic clinic/reviews there.

Hi Liz thank you for the reply,if it does not improve,Iam going to jump onto a plane and go back for a week or two and see my doctor in the uk.

You know you can access www.Diabetes.uk where you can arrange to speak to someone too. Seems a shame that you may have to fork out for flights when it could be sorted out over the phone. Good luck. I hope things settle down and blood sugars settle. 

If you had your HbA1c checked before you left UK then it's likely a change in diet or even your monitor is playing up.

I'm Diabetic type 2 on insulin via syringe.  I have also had a total knee replacement (in Malaga) with the other one due 2920.  We moved into Calahonda 4 months ago and I need an English speaking doctor to "look after" me.  Any recommendations please.  

Is there a reasonably priced UK hairdresser/beautician (eyebrows) in the Calahnda area please.
