I recently had bronchitis and went to calahonda medical centre and it was very expensive.  Do you know a reasonably priced doctor in the area please.

Doctors generally cost about 50-60 € per visit. However, unless you actually need a doctor, you would do far better going to a pharmacist and speaking to them. Many (most) speak excellent English, are far more GP-like than we are used to in the UK, provide great advice, inevitably recommend what you need. And are free. Apart from the purchase of the meds of course. But, unless you have a limb hanging on then it's the way to go. In my opinion anyway. Hope that helps.

Thank you for your reply, I was charged 145 euros for a doctor visit, do you know a doctor charging less than this please.

Crikey, that seems a lot, was this a home visit from the doctor or a visit to the doctor? Obviously I don't know the details but it would be worth querying this with them and asking for a breakdown on how they came to this amount as it does seem high.

I can't recommend I'm afraid, as I said previously, I take the view that unless you seriously need a doctor you are far better to deal with a pharmacist and only use a doctor in A & E type cases where your health insurance would cover it anyway. Can you not claim against your insurance for the doctor visit?
