Had all my stuff when I left Kaleido bar at around 0200 on 14/06/2024, but woke up with all of it missing.

Alcohol was unfortunately involved so I don’t remember whether I left my stuff somewhere or whether someone took it from me enroute to my accommodation.

Checked the bar, asked marina security office, filing a police report tomorrow, lost and found only opens on Monday and I fly on Sunday. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Someone put on here that they handed it in at the bar. Have you got it back now?

I also found someone else’s brown ray bans at the same bar, handed them in and posted on here, but will check back at the bar to see if they’ve been handed all 3 of my things. Thanks for the reply regardless :)

Update: it is now apparent to me that whoever took my phone managed to transfer all of my cryptocurrency from my Binance app to an unknown address, amounting to an equivalent of more than 20k EUR.

I’ve filed a police report prior to finding out this information and will inform them as soon as possible to update the case.

I checked with the bar again and nothing was handed to them.

I’ve managed to cancel/freeze any other accounts stored on the phone, which shows to be inactive on my Google account so hopefully it ran out of battery with any fingerprint access removed.

My friends asked people around the bar at the time who indicated that I was seen leaving with someone else.

My leading theory is therefore that someone escorted me away from the bar in a drunken moment where I was separated from my friends, gained access to my phone with my fingerprint and then left me somewhere to then proceed to work with my phone alone and remove my cryptocurrency.

I’m not hopeful to get the currency or any of my possessions back and am mainly posting here for record and as a lesson to anyone to - stay with your friends on a night of drinking, lock down your phone or even don’t have key finance apps accessible with fingerprint/biometric login and make sure all account recovery is possible without having access to the phone (my 2FA was all linked to my phone as well, making it a nightmare to access my account again).

Any help or insight in this situation would still be greatly appreciated.

This same advice has been given out many times:

Don't get that drunk that you don't know what's happening

Stick together all the time

If in a group, leave all phones at your hotel except for one.

Don't take wads of money out and have one designated person to pay. Why do people take several bank cards and driving licences out at night? pickpockets know which pocket you keep your wallet and phone in.....

Don't chat with "long lost mates" you meet on the street late at night, they will be pickpockets.

Most of that is obvious but many people leave their common sense at the airport just after landing.

Happy holidays......
