Update: it is now apparent to me that whoever took my phone managed to transfer all of my cryptocurrency from my Binance app to an unknown address, amounting to an equivalent of more than 20k EUR.
I’ve filed a police report prior to finding out this information and will inform them as soon as possible to update the case.
I checked with the bar again and nothing was handed to them.
I’ve managed to cancel/freeze any other accounts stored on the phone, which shows to be inactive on my Google account so hopefully it ran out of battery with any fingerprint access removed.
My friends asked people around the bar at the time who indicated that I was seen leaving with someone else.
My leading theory is therefore that someone escorted me away from the bar in a drunken moment where I was separated from my friends, gained access to my phone with my fingerprint and then left me somewhere to then proceed to work with my phone alone and remove my cryptocurrency.
I’m not hopeful to get the currency or any of my possessions back and am mainly posting here for record and as a lesson to anyone to - stay with your friends on a night of drinking, lock down your phone or even don’t have key finance apps accessible with fingerprint/biometric login and make sure all account recovery is possible without having access to the phone (my 2FA was all linked to my phone as well, making it a nightmare to access my account again).
Any help or insight in this situation would still be greatly appreciated.
