Internet without landline telephone!

Probably better to post this onto the Estepona forum rather than the Banalmadena as you are likely to receive more relevant local advice. I'd look at Olivenet or Avatel, both are good.

We have Olivenet which is around €20 a month but you can stop when you are not there. However it took about 6 weeks for them to install. No telephone line needed.

We’re paying around 70 euros per month to Movistar for our WiFi in our Benalmadena apartment. Basic package . We only get the broadband.  I’ve been asking round for more competitive deals but without success. Never used the phone though they gave us a phone number. 

Could you please give me some information about how to get Olivenet. How effective is it? I know I can go online and find out from their website but  I would rather get some real  opinion about it all.

Will we be able to get UK channels on our tv if it can be tuned via a WiFi code .

And why does it take 6 weeks to install. Did you maybe get WiFi with Olivenet from the absolute start. Might it be quicker for us I wonder because we have had Movistar installed and maybe the necessary “wiring” is already there?

This answer is around 2 years too late, but my WF internet costs me 29 euros a month. It's from Olive net based in San Pedro. What you are paying per month is far too much.
