Spanish Visa (Brexit)
Given that you can only stay in Spain for 90 days with a visa. Is it possible to extend this visa for an additional period and if so how?

Although, for now, the 90/180 day period is active I think a lot of people are hoping that once the dust settles and things start to return to some level of normality that Spain will opt to not impose this. If you think about it why would they? The Spanish economy is in natters and one would assume that they will want as many people as possible spending as much as possible for as long as possible going forward. Cyprus, among some other EU countries has already set a precedent by opting out of this EU directive. Hopefully Spain will too. Time will tell.

Thanks. Yes it would make good sense to return to free movement. But in the meantime I think you may be right. I do hope so.

Free movement by the back door? Without reciprocal arrangements?
Spain is a prominent EU member seeking substantial support from the EU so Spain cannot do a Cyprus and I think that is a vain hope.
However, Spain does need a solution. Several countries, including Spain, offer a golden visa, so there may be a route that property purchase or rent for may allow residence for up to 6 months.
Italy is famous for failing to uphold EU regulations so Spain could turn a blind eye but can only do so at its own borders, and who is going to find that out? You?
Tell us how you get on.

Time will tell although I'm not sure why your post feels unnecessarily aggressive.
Have a good day.

I fail to see why you should feel that way. To me, your response feels passively aggressive. 'Have a good day'.
