You are not making yourself clear. What do they want this money for? Income tax, Ibi, capital gains??

for income tax,i am a civil servant and we always have had an allowance,but suddenly they do not recognise me

as being a government employee.its just to get them extra revenue,but i intend to fight!!

 My wife who was an ex Govt Employee has been free from tax in Spain since we arrived a few years ago from UK. Maybe a Spanish tax advisor can advise you exactly why you had to pay tax at all. My guess something different to straight income tax. I hasten to add (my guess)

both my wife and i did not have to pay any tax in spain since we arrived in 2007,but now after brexit they seem to be 

after us and will not accept the documents we have prvided,and my wife is also an ex civil servant.

As mentioned before I recommend tax advice in Spain they will guide you for a small fee as your case should not be to complicated PS you may also qualify for  property water discount if you are over 66 and listed on the Padrónamiento

Do you have to be a Spanish resident to get the water discount?
