Yes even if you are double vaccinated, under current rules you need to have a negative PCR test to enter Spain.

The double jabbed do not need a test to enter Spain, per our Gov travel advice website

Testing and vaccination requirements for arrivals from the UK

The Spanish government requires all arrivals to Spain from the UK (excluding children under the age of 12 years old) to present on entry one of the following:

·  documentation certifying that you have undertaken a COVID-19 nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT - e.g. PCR, TMA, LAMP or NEAR) within 72 hours prior to arrival in Spain and tested negative. Antigen tests can only be used in certain limited circumstances (as outlined in section ‘k’ of the ‘Entry requirements for entry in Spain from third countries’ on the Spanish Ministry of Health ‘Travel and COVID-19’ page) and are not accepted if you are travelling from the UK to Spain for tourism purposes (see Reason for travel to Spain below for further information).

·  proof of being fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival in Spain (date(s) of vaccination must be specified), with a vaccine authorised by the European Medicines Agency or by the World Health Organisation. Spain will accept the UK’s solutions to demonstrate your COVID vaccination status. Your NHS appointment card from vaccination centres is not designed to be used as proof of vaccination and should not be used to demonstrate your vaccine status.

We arrived in Spain last Friday all we needed was a COVID travel pass or a negative PCR test. The trip was pretty stress free, going back seems to be a bit troublesom

No this is not true. Double jabbed you just need your proof of vaccination on NHS app. Lateral flow to come back.  PCR on Day 2 when back

Hi Adie,

Servicio Medico Costa del Sol are very good and will fit you in at short notice. They did for my husband who needed to travel urgently. The PCR test is your saliva mixed with a mouthwash, so no nasty swabs. The cost is 98 euros and you will get the results in the form of a certificate by email later that same day. They are very friendly and efficient and speak Spanish and English.

Here is their address: Av. Carlota Alessandri, 204, 29620 Torremolinos, Málaga. Their phone number is 952 370 028. They are above a row of shops next to the old and now closed Mercadona.

Hope this helps.

Shelley

Hi shelly thankyou so much. I don't know until Thursday if we will be coming. uk is thinking about making Spain amber watch list . And while in Spain it could go red that would mean a hotel quarantine on return at a cost of £3500.00 for 2 people. Its crazy Amber watch list

means 10 day quarantine on return to England we have double jab but if you are Spanish travelling to England with double jab you don't have too!! Ridiculous
