Patronato de recaudacion provincial

We bought a small house in La Vinuela 2 year ago and all of  our bills are set up for direct debit through the bank , some where done by our lawyer others where done by a very helpful man in our  local town hall ,

We have

water bill it is taken 4 times a year you pay a set fee

rubbish , is taken once a year

rates / council tax once a year ...

then  we have non resident tax

this is once a year ,but you have to get someone to work that out  we used the local Gestoia but  you can use your lawyer  there are cost for this service .This has to be paid by December

electricity is every 2 months  again standing charge etc ,, direct debit ,

Thanks for the response Jim. I have received two debits from my bank account at the beginning of July and August, each carries the title 'Patronato de recaudacion provincial' and the receipts state Periana Agua/Otras Tasas - so even with my pigeon Spanish I assume this is my monthly water bill. Perhaps I ought to get back onto my solicitor for an explanation!

Hi Andy, the best bet would be to go back to the lawyer ,as it may be different in Periana , do you not know any brits in Periana  they could explain there system better than me there are groups on facebook that are a great help with things like this ,,,,I have just found a group in Periana here is the link

Did you ever find out what Patronada de recaudacion was for . It’s not water as I have water payment taken out every few months . I also have to payments for patronada and patronada de recaudacion just 2 months apart aug and October,  but then none after that . Can anyone advise me . I am in Torremolinos region
