We arrived in Malaga by plane yesterday from the UK. I was able to enter with my confirmation of residency document and my wife with her confirmation of application for residency. It can be done, but just make sure you have a plethora of documentation.

dont risk it, I am a Spanish resident applied for TIE card yesterday, my greencard was taken from me at Marbella police station, I have been told that I will not be able to get back into Spain with the piece of paper from the Police Staion.

Thank you, I have been a resident here since 2002, I don't think Im going to go back to the UK for a visit. just in case on my return Spanish immigration decide they don want to play.
