Hi all, I know I’ve seen posts here recommending Companies they have used. Until now I thought I could do it myself😂. I’ve phoned the Malaga no. which redirected me to a website. The website redirects you to the phone no.! I know we are cutting it fine, but we were stuck outside of Spain for seven months due to the pandemic. TIA

Hi there - we live in Antequera and we used Sanchez solicitors who are based in Nerja. They are used to dealing with the paper work and we had no problem but they key thing is

a) make sure that you either have a property ( you’ll need to show a copy of the deeds) or have between 12-15000 euros in your bank account

b) if you are pensioner you need to have you NHS H1 that shows your entitlement to medial care or if you of working age then you need to have medical insurance

the process in Antequera was very smooth and took us 15 mins but getting the paper work right was key and Sanchez solicitors were brilliant

Hello

I have an accountant in Torremolinos who did mine. It appears quite easy to do it yourself until you try, then it all goes pear shaped. I agree with the previous post, make sure you have those things in place before you try to get this done. You need an appointment with the Police in your local area who will verify your passports, (It's a tick box exercise really, they just glance at you like border control), You will also need a Nota Simple of your property and you NIE numbers.

Then usually a frantic conversation takes place in Spanish, then you get your papers stamped and you get your cards. Whoever you go with will do this for you and give you a check list of everything you will need.

Let me know if you would like me to pass her details on to you, the charges were about 100/125 euros per application.

Good luck with it

You can do it right here in Antequera, there are plenty of places.

Here is the one I used.

Molina gonzález abogados (Francisco) Tel: 952 841 196

He speaks very good English.

I’ve met Francisco. Can I ask how much he charged please. I can’t remember how much he wanted for NIE’s, but we did that ours

I'm sorry but I can't remember what he changed as it was 6 years ago.

Hi, We are moving over in November 🤞, we have been told that we need my partners pension paper that shows his state pension payment, has to be translated into Spanish, and Apostilled, also 12 months of bank statements, the same. Did you have to do this at all? 🙄
