Hi I am Tim, I live in Salinas near Archidona. I bought a Spanish car last year, I was told it was taxed up to October this year. But now I need to renew it. Can some tell me where and how I do that. Thank you.

Hi Tim
If the Spanish Car was registered last year into your name, then you will automatically receive in the Post a Bill for the Road Tax normally paid in May each year and not October. Do you not mean the Car's ITV maybe Website below or road tax below that.

Thanks for your reply Nigel. It’s the road tax that I need, the ITV was done recently. I haven’t received anything in the post, but I am in a rural area and not everything reaches me. Do know if it’s is the DGT or local authority that would send?

Hi Tim
You will need to go into your Local Town Council Tax Office and request a copy. If it has not been paid,then interest will be added to the amount you have to pay. Malaga Province issues this Bill's. Just take your Passport and NIE/TIE into the office with you as well as Cars Permissio de circulation.
