Hi, myself, my partner and 2 young children, age 6 and 7 are seriously considering a move to Malaga in the summer. We’ve been looking at Alhaurin El Grande and Alhaurin De La Torre. I’m interested to find out if there are many after school clubs or activities where the children are likely to meet people their own age. It would be really great to hear from any parents that live in the area. Thank you.

For kids in Spain it's all about all about the nearest Square or park, they play until they drop, at 6-7 they will love and soon pick up Spanish. One of the best places in the world for children, they mix very well and also take care of each other.

Thank you for taking the time to comment, it's little snippets of information like this that will help us make the move.

Glad that's of some help, the average mum here will go to the park of near square, where the kids play and they just get on with it. All part of the spirt of the place, most Spanish will not stop their play and interaction, rare to hear come it's bed time, they just burn themselves out and say "I'm tired and want to go to bed"! The mums and dads will sit in the square or sit in a bar and watch and once familiar with others people will look out for others kids when shop, kids never annoy people, or any noise they make, just music to the Spanish, old people & kids come first. They also take kids with them most places, I apologised once to a Spanish neighbour for the noise my son made when young, they told me off, asking "how can a child annoy me, what are you thinking?. This is heaven for kids,

Alhaurin is a decent place to live, there's plenty going on etc.

Post brexit - you will need a chunk of cash in the bank for the visa - like 30k or so, per year. If you'll have that then it's probably better to get the visa then look at houses?

I don't wanna pee on the fire, but things have changed now that you'll be coming from outside Europe.
