Small dogs on buses

Hi,I’m new to this forum,and would appreciate any good advice.I am hoping to visit AEG with my dog, for a few months,to recoup after surgery,I won’t be able to drive,and will need public transport to adventure out.I lived in Spain many years ago and I recall that dogs are not allowed to travel on buses,unless in a cage.I believe trains are similar,I would like to know if this is still so,and also are there any taxis or transfers from Malaga airport that are pooch friendly.He is only 8 kilos.Also while here,are there any pet overland companies from UK to Spain. Thank you.
