Hi Laszlo & Dene My husband and I took early retirement last year we are both now 61.  We live in the Campo (countryside) of Alhaurin de la Torre beside Lauro Golf Course and absolutely love our life here.  It is a fabulous place to live and very safe.  Lots to do and only 20 minutes from Malaga airport.  Great selection of supermarkets and shops in the town and the most gorgeous Christmas lights being set up on the roundabouts just now.  There is a small expat community you can join we meet up every month or so for lunch/dinner it's a great way to meet new people.  Once you are registered as living here you can if you wish join the free beginners Spanish lessons at the adult learning centre.  If you have any further questions that we can help you with any local queries etc. we ware happy to help you.  Best wishes - Yvonne & Mike Gibson
