Hi my name is Sarah and we have just bought a house in Trabuco. There is a lot we dont know, we wondered if there were any Garden Centres in or around Trabuco?

Also we gather there is a Trabuco Broadband, How do we get on to it? Our house is a holiday home, so we would not need it all the time, Is there a pay as you go system?

Our house is a holiday home, so we will be coming and going, How about yourselves?

We are flying out tomorrow , but only for 5 days, but lots do do as this is our first visit since we bought it. so perphaps we can keep in touch and meet up when we are all there.

Best Wishes Sarah

Hiya. Mick picked up the keys on Monday & is checking it out. We're also just using it as a holiday home, unfortunately I'm still working so Mick will probably be backwards and forwards more than me. We're up by the pool where are you? How's your Spanish? Exciting times eh? I've been looking for a FB site for the village but have only found the official "Ayuntamiento de Villanueva del Trabuco" speak soon Gail

Hi Gail

Sorry I have been so long in replying, but we have been in Trabuco and i forgot what my password was so couldnt log in , durrr.

Anyway , we went to open Bank account and validate wills and couldnt do any of it, cos of the National Holidays, so we will go back in January.

We dont speak Spanish yet but I am trying to learn and can scramble by in very basic things

We live nearer to Plaza Prada, just a 2 minute walk

We are getting Wi Fi when we come back, so that should be easier than to keep going to the cafe although it is a great experience.

John has already retired and I retire on Christmas Eve so really looking forward to that. How long before you can retire?

Well thats all our news so far.

Best Wishes Sarah

Any luck with your facebook site? .

Hiya - Mick got back home on friday. Loads to report lol. He was a bit down when he arrived at our little casa on the Thursday. I think the note left by the previous owners advising him not to put paper down the toilet together with the damp & loose floor tiles was a reality check. We've no heating either. So that first night was Dickensian. The picture of him huddled in a quilt warming his hands round a candle lol. But the next day the sun was out so what's to moan about. He went to the square & started talking to some lovely people who couldn't of been more helpful. We've discovered another terrace at the back giving us more outside space. Electricians have been sorted, to upgrade the electrics. The drains will have to wait till we get a bit of money together. Our solicitor sorted all the paperwork including bank accounts thankfully. No comeback on FB. Are you on FB? Sorry to go on. Gail

Hi Gail

Oh poor Mick there is nothing worse especially when you are on your own.

Yes I am on Facebook, I will keep looking too, there must be something.

When is he or you going back? Do either of you speak Spanish?

At least we have heating, we have a pellet burner which really warms the house through, cos the nights certainly are cold at this time of year. Where do you live in England? We live near Dundee in Scotland.

I think we are the only 2 people on the Trabuco forum.

Can't think of anything else at present. Speak soon Sarah

He he he your well posh. We've planned to go out 14th March for two weeks but Tiny Tim (Mick) says he might nip out for a week before then. So you'll have to go soon to set up your bank account poor you lol. If you've got your NIE can't you set up a bank account from her? Just tourism Spanish but hopping to get better. We're between Bolton & Wigan. Westhoughton. The slave driver says I can retire in a couple of years too. You'll be well settled in the village by then, one of the locals. Speak soon. Gail
