Granada(lots skiing round there, and Navarra,) Ronda and all round there lovely, but all places mentioned get Very cold in winter, where as all round here is never bitterly cold. At the moment  around 23c, can be a.bit windy. Sound like I’m reading the weather forecast!!! 🤣🤣

I would say MIJAS pueblo. Beautiful area. Lots of Ex pats and pretty central to most places

Again thanks so much. Haha weather forecast is always good! Feeling very envious ...23 degrees!

We've just booked estapona for a week in June so we can have a look around.

Hi , We recently bought in Torrenueva, La Cala.  This is midway between Marbella and Fuengirola, loads of brits, beautiful little town .  I am just finding my way around and having a ball doing it.  Great beaches, restaurants, or easy access to Large Malls when needed ( which with me is quite a lot) ha ha.  My husband despairs.  If i can help, or answer any questions please feel free to get in touch any time.  Oh ishould say that it is so so easy to access from the Airport at Malaga , that was a big plus for us, we do not drive in Spain yet, just trying to build up the courage. Yikeeeees.  Hope this helps a little. Jean x

Hi Jean, thanks so much for replying and the information....sounds like you have settled in well and very happy!  We did go to Estepona on a fact finding mission last month and yes my husband was very brave and we hired a car....needless to say I didn't drive but did have my foot on the invisible brake my side!

We visited quite a few villages but they were so quiet....we are not very sporting but we do like to keep busy and are just a little worried that during December to February there wont be much to do apart from cafes and restaurants.  Also we were amazed at how much it would cost to bring our 2 dogs over....£2 - £3,000!  So now we are thinking of just staying in a hotel for a couple of weeks over Christmas.  But we are still open to advice!

Hope you have mastered the car thing now....

Best wishes

Jan
